About Joseph

Rooted in the community he hopes to represent.

Joe Cleveland has called this community home his entire life. He attended Munford Elementary and Middle School before graduating from Hope Academy in Talladega. In 2016, Joe married his wife, and together they are raising three children.

Joe understands the value of hard work because he has lived it. He worked at the Anniston Army Depot before beginning work at a local foundry, where he continues to serve as a machinist and proud union member. His life and work are rooted in the same community he hopes to represent.

Families across District 35 are watching every dollar. This campaign will focus on practical steps that help working households keep more of what they earn and manage everyday costs.

Public rate hearings and utility accountability

Major utility-related decisions should be easier for the public to follow and understand. Joseph supports public rate hearings for Public Service Commission decisions so residents have a clearer voice in the process.

Pro-worker policies

A strong local economy depends on people who work hard and deserve respect. This campaign will highlight policies that value workers, support fair opportunity, and strengthen communities.

Newer school buses with heat and AC

Students and drivers should have safer transportation. Joseph supports funding for newer school buses with heat and air conditioning.

Ending the grocery tax

Groceries are essentials, not luxuries. This campaign supports eliminating the grocery tax as part of a broader affordability agenda for working families.
